Four More Actors Audition for Harry Osborn Role in The Amazing Spider-Man Sequel

Last week it was reported that Sony Pictures is searching for an actor to play the role of Harry Osborn in "The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel. The first four actors who tested for the part were Brady Corbet (Martha Marcy May Marlene), Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) and Alden Ehrenreich (Stoker). THR has now learned that four more actors are set to audition, including Douglas Booth (Noah), Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman), Boyd Holbrook (The Host) and Eddie Redmayne (My Week with Marilyn). The newspaper added that the character (played by James Franco in Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" trilogy) will be charismatic and athletic, instead of dark and edgy as previously reported. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" will be directed by Marc Webb and star Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Shailene Woodley (as Mary Jane Watson), and Jamie Foxx (as Electro). It's set to hit theaters on May 2nd, 2014.
