Breaking Dawn Part 2 is off to an estimated $71.2 million start. The film should rank among the biggest opening days of all-time, although not the biggest Twilight opener of all-time. Its studio was estimating that by the end of Sunday the film will stand at $135 million domestically, a typically staggering opening-weekend debut for the franchise, if below the most optimistic projections. It's worth noting that the studio's reported opening-day take still includes 10 p.m., Thursday shows, and, thus, does not strictly reflect opening-day business.
