BBC's Children in Need has raised almost £26.8 million after Friday's (November 16) annual telethon. The event, which raises money to help disadvantaged children, has already beaten last year's total of £26.3 million, and is expected to exceed the current total of £26,757,446 once all donations are collected. Last night's telethon was hosted by Sir Terry Wogan, alongside Fearne Cotton, Tess Daly and Nick Grimshaw. Highlights included appearances by Girls Aloud and One Direction, as well as a spoof performance of Psy's 'Gangnam Style' by Zara Phillips and teammates from the Olympic 3 Day Eventing team. BBC Newsreaders took part in a Top Gear challenge and Lord Alan Sugar starred in a special EastEnders. (more) »
