John Gallagher shared some of his work on Mockingbird Lane (The Munsters reboot at NBC) with the blog Film Sketcher and revealed early designs for Herman Munster and his son Eddie.

Instead of the rather "plain" looking Jerry O'Connell Herman Munster with various stitches, Gallagher envisioned something much more gruesome.  He sort of looks like Jigsaw from The Punisher.  While cool, I can't imagine the NBC brass were diggin' on it.  Check it out inside...

Mockingbird Lane aired as a Halloween special in late October to positive ratings and criticism; no word yet if NBC is weighing anything for future episodes.
