TV ratings: 'The X Factor' and 'CSI' rise Wednesday while ABC comedies fall

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012

"The X Factor" bounced back a good amount after last week's low ratings, adding more than a million viewers and three-tenths of a point among adults 18-49. "CSI" also improved some on its numbers from a week ago on CBS.

The news wasn't as good at ABC, where all five of its shows dropped a bit from last week. "Modern Family" once again led the 18-49 demographic by a wide margin, but it was down a tenth from last week. "The Middle," "Suburgatory" and "Nashville" also fell.

Elsewhere, "Arrow" had its biggest overall audience since its premiere, and "Whitney" did Ok in its season premiere for NBC -- its overall numbers weren't that special, but it improved on what "Animal Practice" had been drawing in the timeslot.

CBS scored the top spot in viewers Wednesday night with 11 million, along with a 6.9 rating/11 share in households.
