I may be going out on a limb here, or rather against the consensus, but my personal favourite Quentin Tarantino effort is Jackie Brown. Most probably due to seeing my favourite actor Robert DeNiro quoting the great filmmaker’s crackling script (and a soundtrack that oozes cool), which was adapted from Elmore Leonard’s novel Rum Punch. Plans for  prequel Switch (again from Leonard’s same-titled novel) have been talked about for a few years now, albeit without the involvement of the Oscar-winning writer and director. Now it appears those plans are moving forward.

Writer/director Dan Schechter will helm the film with a cast of Yasiin Bey (formerly known as musician and actor Mos Def) and John Hawkes taking the roles of Ordell Robbie and Louis Gara (previously played by Samuel L. Jackson and DeNiro). We’ll see how the duo first met in prison and their first crimes together once released. »
