The Host” is the post-”Twilight” adaptation of the novel by Stephenie Meyer, Godmother of sparkling vampires and bare chested teenage werewolves. It’s a sci-fi film from “Gattaca” director Andrew Niccol, who at this point needs a hit after the bloated “hammer to the head awful” that was the Justin Timberlake-fronted “In Time”. “The Host” stars a bunch of pretty young people led by Saoirse Ronan, an honest to goodness respected actress, and some dudes.
