DC Comics will scale back its variant covers in the coming months. Senior vice president of sales Bob Wayne has clarified the publisher's plans for 52 Justice League of America #1 variants. He said that the programme - which includes a cover for each Us state plus Washington DC and Puerto Rico - is a one-off "to point out that this was not the same title as our Justice League titles". Retailers will be able to order the covers they want rather than having to follow an incentivised route where they get so many variants depending on their orders.
