Last year's X Factor winners Little Mix have admitted that they "don't really get" the appeal of current act Christopher Maloney. The girl group also questioned who would buy the singer's records if he wins the competition. Speaking to The Sun, the band's Jesy Nelson jokingly expressed her sympathy for Maloney's mentor Gary Barlow. "Poor Gary, clinging on to 'Ma-phoney'," she said, before clarifying: "We're not fans. "I don't really get it and I don't know who is going to buy his music. I guess 'each to their own'. But I can't see that he's going to become a popstar."
