Michael Arndt has accepted the challenge of trying to please millions of highly demanding "Star Wars" fans as he's been confirmed as the screenwriter of "Episode VII," according to Heat Vision.
Arndt had been working on a treatment for a new "Star Wars" adventure with Lucasfilm for the past several months and now Disney has confirmed that he'll be penning the entire screenplay.
"Episode VII" is the first installment of a new trilogy that's rumored to be continuing — and eventually concluding — the story of the Skywalkers, focusing on a new generation of characters and (hopefully) featuring appearances by Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher as older versions of Luke and Leia.
