Damian Lewis has claimed that a recent "controversial" scene was cut from Homeland. On the Showtime drama, Lewis plays Nicholas Brody, a former Us marine who has converted to Islam and also been corrupted by terrorists following eight years in captivity. "There was a scene written for this season [that] was very controversial," the English actor told the Radio Times. "And it was the one time that we would have been seen doing something overtly provocative because of the imagery." He clarified: "It involved Islam. So finally at the 11th hour that was withdrawn."
