An Officer and a Gentleman director Taylor Hackford is to produce a new Navy TV drama. Norfolk will be written by ex-Supernatural showrunner Sera Gamble, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The pilot will focus on the personal and work lives of the young crew at the Norfolk Naval Station. Hackford previously helmed 1982's An Officer and a Gentleman - which starred Richard Gere as a Naval officer - as well as 1997's The Devil's Advocate and 2004's Ray.
