Lady Gaga is giving back to her hometown. In a statement on her website, the Grammy Award-winning artist says that she has donated $1 million to New York City and The American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy relief, saying that without New York City -- specifically the Lower Eastside, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn -- she "would not be the woman or artist that I am today."
