RZA has joked that he alternated between being a "dictator" and a "democrat" while directing The Man with the Iron Fists. The Wu-Tang Clan member wrote, directed and stars in the martial arts film The Man with the Iron Fists, the story of a man who must defend his village from a traitor. The filmmaker discussed working with the movie's stars Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu in a recent interview with Flicks and Bits. "I go both ways. Sometimes I'm a total dictator, then sometimes I'm a democrat and I deal in democracy," he quipped. "When you've got great talent like Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu, you know that they have an instinct and a taste of their own. So you've got to be open to hear what they have to offer, because they have to be their character." RZA also (more) »
