There probably weren’t enough tissues or booze in the world to stem the shock of this week’s episode. And even if you were on the fence about one or both of the characters whose lives ended in this episode, if you weren’t at least a little misty-eyed during the great birthing scene, there is something wrong with you. This season seems to want to push the envelope of viewer stamina in each upcoming episode and at this rate, we’re all going to need heart transplants by the finale. The unforgiving mantra is: no one is safe. And while that is an edgy standpoint on behalf of the show to be willing to kill off even favored characters, one has to ask is there a point of no return? Is there a line that can be crossed or a character that could be killed that could drive viewers away? »
