Mendes and Logan Teaming for League of Extraordinary Gentlemen-esque TV Series

After apparently having so much fun working together on the latest Bond movie “Skyfall”, the film’s director Sam Mendes and writer John Logan have re-teamed for a new, untitled TV series that is currently going out to premium cable channels (HBO, Showtime and Starz, etc). Logan wrote the script, with Mendes expected to direct the pilot and produce. From the sounds of it, the show’s premise is very “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”-esque, which was of course the movie 2003 movie by director Stephen Norrington that was based on the Alan Moore comic book series about notable fictional characters (like Mina Harker of “Dracula” fame, Nemo, and The Invisible Man) teaming up to battle various threats to the planet.
