Scott Derrickson to use Stephen King's
Deadline is reporting Jason Blum and Exorcism Of Emily Rose director Scott Derrickson have set their sights on Stephen King's The Breathing Method. One of the novellas found in Different Seasons, which also included the tales that became The Shawshank Redemption, Apt Pupil and Stand By Me, The Breathing Method sees Dr. Emlyn McCarron recount a tale of a pregnant woman in the 1930s who had mastered the physician's breathing method of childbirth and is determined to deliver her child alive and well, no matter what.

Sinister, by the way, felt incredibly King-esque/influenced. Derrickson seems a natural fit for the author's brooding, dramatic material.
