One thing Jim Carrey has proven: he is masterful at making dim-witted characters shine. The Dumb and Dumber and Ace Ventura actor will bring that accessibility to stupid to life once again in Loomis Fargo, which will tell the true story of four simple-minded Southerners who successfully robbed a Loomis Fargo armored truck of $17 million. It's one of the biggest heists in American history. Carrey is in negotiations to play the ringleader, a military vet who worked the overnight shift at Loomis Fargo.

Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre) will direct. Emily Spivey (The creator of "Up All Night" and a long time writer for "SNL") wrote the original script which was then touched up by Danny McBride and Jody Hill who write "Eastbound and Down" together. Hubbel Palmer and Chris Bowman, who both wrote for the "Napoleon Dynamite" TV series, will polish the script.
