American Assassin, a prequel novel in author Flynn's spy thriller series which focuses on the origins of counter-terrorism operative Mitch Rapp, is prepping to begin production with CBS Films. Jeffrey Nachmanoff, director of Traitor starring Don Chedele and the multiple award winning Showtime TV series Homeland, will helm the project based on a screenplay by Mike Finch. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura hopes American Assassin will be the launching point of a new franchise based on author Vince Flynn's books.
