In the words of Vince McMahon, WWE – or WWF as it was before the panda protectors won that name for themselves – as a sports entertainment has a duty to entertain, which is precisely why the company decided to introduce the Attitude Era, to bring in a contemporary spin and give the action in the ring an added dimension. That era unveiled more compelling, more complex superstar characters, whose attitudes blurred the boundaries of good and the Era brought some seriously entertaining story-lines, fitting in with Mr McMahon’s entertainment vision, as outlined below…

Replacing to the much-criticised Road To Wrestlemania mode, the Attitude Era is Thq’s ace in the pack, and hopefully will see a trend established where WWE games focus more on specific wrestling eras (we can only hope for the WCW Invasion next).
