An adaptation of a Halo movie with Peter Jackson involved was once a hot commodity, but the project completely fell apart. Coincidentally enough, Peter Jackson is now being mentioned in the same breath as another video game adaptation. Variety reports New Line is concentrating on the director's three-film adaptation of The Hobbit, and they have now put their adaptation of Epic Games' Gears of War into turnaround for another studio to pick up. The project has been in development since 2007 getting as far as attaching Len Wiseman to direct until budget concerns stopped the adaptation dead in its tracks. Read on!
