Now that the curtain has fallen on the Dark Knight trilogy with the release of The Dark Knight Rises, Warner Bros. is pinning its hopes for superhero movie success firmly on the shoulders of the the Last Son of Krypton courtesy of director Zack Snyder's (Watchmen) upcoming Superman reboot Man of Steel.

Set to arrive next summer, Man of Steel is produced by Nolan from a script by comic book movie veteran David S. Goyer, whose previous credits range from good (Blade, Blade II, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises) to bad (Blade: Trinity) and just downright ugly (The Crow: City of Angels, Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance).
