Vulture's "Pop Culture Memory Lane" video series continues today with Jim O'Heir, who plays the hapless scapegoat Jerry on Parks and Recreation. He's not his character in real life, but in this story it's tough to tell. He had idolized Mary Tyler Moore since he was a kid, and found himself visiting SNL in the eighties when she was a host. It took him until the afterparty to work up the courage to say hello, and when the moment came he gave her the very wrong idea. In fact, this story may make you think, He wasn't like Jerry as a younger man — He was actually like Kevin on The Office. »
