Anne Hathaway is reportedly in early stages of negotiations to play the female lead in Steven Spielberg’s film adaptation of Daniel H. Wilson’s novel Robopocalypse. Since Chris Hemsworth is already in talks to play the male lead, this means that Catwoman and Thor could team up to fight robots. Which is obviously awesome.

But he’s a Marvel and she’s a DC! Theirs is a forbidden love. It’s like Romeo and Juliet, except with comic book (movie) characters who fight robots. Best. Shakespeare. Adaptation. Ever.

Of course, talking in such reductionist terms is simplistic and obscures the nuances of…who cares? It’s Catwoman and Thor fighting robots! Directed by Steven Spielberg! With a title like Robopocalypse, which is as cool as it is difficult to pronounce quickly!

We don’t know necessarily which characters they’re going to play, so maybe they won’t be in love. »
