Kevin Feige ha parlato con MTV News di The Avengers, il film sui Vendicatori diretto da Joss Whedon, spiegando i fattori che, secondo lui, hanno contribuito all'enorme successo della pellicola:
Abbiamo avuto tanta fortuna nel vedere realizzati i nostri sogni. Ricordo ancora quando sei-sette anni fa stavamo pensando di scritturare Robert Downey Jr. nei panni di Iron Man. 'Sarebbe perfetto, un po' come Johnny Depp per Jack Sparrow. Potrebbe davvero catturare il pubblico'. E così è stato. Non puoi aspettarti tutto questo successo se sei un normale essere umano. Speravo con tutto il cuore che Avengers potesse battere Iron Man 2, altrimenti saremmo finiti nei guai. Alla fine abbiamo incassato quasi il doppio.
