As announced earlier this year, Sony Pictures and producer Scott Rudin (Searching For Bobby Fischer) purchased the remake rights to Brooklyn Castle, the documentary that premiered at SXSW this year, where it won the audience award for best documentary. I was there; I saw it; I loved it. You can find my review of the film here. But before that scripted remake happens, you just might be able to see it at a theater near you, because, the film will be released by indie distributor Producers Distribution Agency (part of Cinetic Media), for an October 19 debut.
