Fans of Capcom, rejoice (or cower)! Paul Ws Anderson, after finishing up Resident Evil: Retribution — he’s planning on wrapping up the series with a sixth and final installment in the near future (oh brother) — has his eyes on another Capcom property for his next franchise.

That would be Monster Hunter, an action RPG game that began in 2004 and has a fairly self explanatory title. You play as an apprentice hunter who must complete tasks doled out by the village elder, most of which include hunting, killing, or capturing various creatures and monsters. Monster Hunter is owned by Capcom, just as Resident Evil is/was, and at this point, the company has given Anderson free reign, due to the massive profits he’s given them during his decade-long directorial job on the Re flicks.

Rumors are already circulating that perhaps he’d get his wife, Milla Jovovich, to star in Monster Hunter, »
