Negli Usa esordio da record per The Master, Leone d'argento a Venezia, che in Italia arriverà a gennaio, ha incassato 729.745 dollari in cinque sale a New York e Los Angeles, con una media per copia di 145.949 dollari.
Prometheus di Ridley Scott non tradisce le attese e balza subito in testa al box office italiano. Il prequel di Alien, però, non ottiene incassi non eccezionali: 1.966.287 euro che comunque gli permettono di sorpassare il Cavaliere oscuro - Il ritorno, crollato in quarta posizione (902.292 euro).
