“The Sessions” set to open one week earlier than expected – Oscars by Sean O'Connell

By Sean O’Connell Hollywoodnews.com: Ben Lewin’s “The Sessions” has been pleasing crowds since the Sundance Film Festival, where it took home the Audience Award and a Special Jury Prize, then competed for the fest’s Grand Jury Prize. After a strong showing at the Toronto International Film Festival, “Sessions” has decided to get in front of mainstream crowds a week earlier than planned. Lewin’s film, about a handicapped man (John Hawkes) hoping to lose his virginity to a sex therapist (Helen Hunt), will now open in limited release on Oct. 19 – one week earlier than the announced Oct. 26 date, Deadline reports. This will give the film a limited-release debut to continue building on the buzz before it finally goes wide in most major markets. http://www.deadline.com/2012/09/the-sessions-to-open-a-week-earlier-october-19th-fox-searchlight/ Any why not?
