La Universal sta pianificando il suo futuro intorno a successi più o meno recenti. La sussidiaria della Comcast che, lo ricordiamo, si trova sprovvista di franchise consolidati in stile cinecomic, vuole pertanto rafforzare quei brand già consolidati e tentare la strada seriale per quelli appena iniziati.
Oltre a Fast Six, sesto capitolo della saga di Fast & Furious in arrivo il prossimo anno, Steve Burke, CEO della major, ha affermato intervenendo alla conferenza sui media organizzata dalla Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2012 che anche la saga di The Bourne Legacy (125 milioni di budget e 181 d'incasso) avrà modo di proseguire. Con 394 milioni di dollari guadagnati a fronte di una spesa di 65, anche l'esordio nel lungometraggio firmati Seth MacFarlane, Ted, avrà un "capitolo due" che verrà messo in cantiere »
