Il grandissimo successo di critica, ma soprattutto finanziario di The Avengers non ha soltanto fatto accrescere i cachet dei vari attori che compongono il cast, ma anche quello del regista, Joss Whedon, ma non si parla solo di cachet, visto che pare sia diventato un grande consulente di produzione.
