Universal has snapped up another David Guggenheim project, shelling out high six figures for "Black Box," the latest spec script from the "Safe House" scribe. Guggenheim, a former Us Weekly editor, broke into Hollywood with "Safe House," the Daniel Espinosa-directed film Universal released this February. The thriller, which starred Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington, made $205 million at the worldwide box office and Universal has since made a deal with the writer to write a follow-up.
