Some may not like this list in its entirety, but I'd hope you agree that all of these films should have made it onto a top teen movie list at one point or another. With a variation from John Hughes to more current films like The Notebook and Can't Hardly Wait, all of these are a must-see. Blame it on the fact that I grew up with these films, but features like Mean Girls and A Walk to Remember made the ranking too.

And before I forget, don't get too harsh when you check out what came in first. A teen film about high school kids stuck in detention on a Saturday is of course an all-time win, but at the end of the day a teen film is best when there's some type of love story. And when the film just so happens to create the best young male character of all time too. »
