Tippi Hedren was an unknown young model when director Alfred Hitchcock cast her as the lead in The Birds, his surreal 1963 avian-apocalypse thriller. The two had an infamously tense working relationship, with Hedren later alleging that Hitchcock ruined her career when she refused his sexual advances. HBO’s upcoming TV movie The Girl stars Toby Jones as Hitchcock and Sienna Miller as Hedren. Based on the just-released trailer, it will feature enough recreations of famous movie sequences to satisfy the film buff crowd. Watch the trailer below:
