When over-sized press kits for new TV series or video games arrive, it’s difficult not to be intrigued by the mystery of what might be inside or possibly get a little giddy – the latter depending on the receiver’s interest the TV show or game.

So, when a 1’4 x 1’5 box arrived for Nickelodeon’s upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CG series arrived, I was intrigued – and a little giddy. After all, the Tmnt franchise – including the cartoons and the comics – was a staple of my childhood.

When I opened up the box, I was surprised to see a giant Manhole, with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles logo emblazoned on top.

Sometime giant press kits can be a little foolish. The Resident Evil: Raccoon City press kit included a massive license plate, and I’ve heard some game journalists received a giant tombstone for Darksiders 2.
