Ajay Devgn has pledged to remove Son of Sardaar scenes deemed offensive by Sikh community leaders. The Singham star screened the film for community leaders of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee in Amritsar after strong objections were raised regarding controversial dialogue and imagery in the film's trailer. Parts were regarded as 'anti-Sikh' and blasphemous, and it was feared they might offend the religious sensibilities of the Sikh community. Speaking to the Hindustan Times, Devgn, who is also the film's producer, said: "The movie is about Sikhs. I am a Punjabi and hurting sentiments of Punjabis will mean hurting sentiments of my own family. I can never do that. "There were some promos on Youtube to which there were objections. Since I have great respect for the Sikh community, I have come here and shown them the promos (more) »
