Che ad Hollywood piacciano i biopic non è un segreto. Quando poi si tratta dei Presidenti, ancora meglio. Sarà Mike Newell a portare sul grande schermo la vita del 40esimo Presidente degli Stati Uniti, Ronald Reagan. In carica dal 1981 al 1989, fu anche attore hollywodiano: tra i suoi film si ricordano Love is on the air, Delitti senza castigo e Contratto per uccidere. Inizialmente si pensava che un film su Reagan potesse essere diretto da Ridley Scott, ma pare che i lregista preferisca per ora dedicarsi a nuovi progetti. Reykjavik, questo è il titolo prescelto per la pellicola, vedrà come protagonista Michael Douglas.
