Leading up to the highly anticipated seventh season of NuWho (which premieres today, Saturday 1 September), the BBC put the five-part Doctor Who mini-series Pond Life online this week, and all five parts are now available to watch below.

Written by Chris Chibnall (who, in addition to his Doctor Who work, wrote some of the best episodes of Torchwood: ‘Cyberwoman’, ‘Adrift’, ‘Fragments’, and ‘Exit Wounds’), the mini-series is episodic yet forms one overall, larger story, like life.

Whereas the various episode prequels mostly provided atmosphere and hints and clues, this has more of a story, and lots of fun moments (mostly due to the Doctor).

While each episode is only around a minute or so in length, they generally pack in a lot of story and amusing details.

Episode 1 features a lot of these moments, as the Doctor offers a rapid-fire recap of what he’s been up to lately. »
