The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D will open on the first weekend of 2013, giving us a great choice for our first horror film of the New Year.

Bringing back a handful of members of the original films’ cast, as well as new blood in the form of leading lady Alexandra Daddario (Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief, White Collar), director John Luessenhop will be picking up where the first film, from way back in 1974, left off.

With a little over four months left to go until it hits theatres, Fandango have debuted a dark new poster for the film, nicely setting the tone we can look forward to.
