Recientemente se informó que Hugh Laurie "House" estaba en negociaciones para interpretar el CEO villano de Omni Corp en el próximo remake de "RoboCop". Su personaje crea a RoboCop para beneficio propio de la empresa. Luego se supo que Laurie se retiró y MGM estaba en conversaciones con un pequeño grupo de actores para reemplazarlo, incluyendo Clive Owen. Y ahora, el director José Padilha (Tropa de élite) ha confirmado que el papel fue a Michael Keaton (Batman, Beetlejuice). "Michael es la última adición al elenco increíble que hemos montado para esta película y es tan genial tener la última pieza del rompecabezas en lugar", dijo el cineasta.
