Dopo che Cameron Crowe sembra aver ottenuto la direzione del progetto Deep Tiki con Emma Stone, vengono alla luce altri, probabili, lavori per il regista. Secondo il sito The Wrap, Crowe vorrebbe adattare il romanzo Beautiful Boy, scritto dal giornalista David Sheff che racconta il proprio rapporto con il figlio drogato. Quest'ultimo ha scritto anche un libro intitolato Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines, da cui si prenderà spunto per redigere il copione.Il regista di La mia Vita è uno Zoo, potrebbe dirigere, per l'hbo, anche Telegraph Avenue basato sul romanzo di Michael Chabon in cui un negozio gestito da due amici viene messo in pericolo da un centro commerciale costruito nelle vicinanze. »
