Surprise, surprise... another respected director has apparently had second thoughts about directing a movie based on a video game and decided to jump ship. Last summer it was announced that Neil Burger (Limitless, The Illusionist) had signed on to direct Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for Sony, replacing David O. Russell. Now we have learned that Burger is no longer attached to the project and that, for the moment, there is no immediate replacement. They will wait to find a new director until another draft of the script is turned in by Marianne and Cormac Wibberley (National Treasure). The news comes courtesy of Variety, although there is no word on why Burger decided to leave.
