The Los Angeles Dodgers started early discussions with Fox Sports about cable TV deal worth billions back in May, Reuters reports. Citing sources with knowledge of the talks, Reuters noted that the baseball franchise -- currently undergoing a makeover with flashy new hires, a remodeled Dodger Stadium and new ownership that includes Earvin "Magic" Johnson and Hollywood heavyweight Peter Guber -- is restricted from formally advancing the conversation with Fox until Oct. 15 per the terms of their existing TV contracts.
