Coronation Street fans abandoned 9pm documentary Corrie Goes To Kenya on Friday night, overnight figures suggest. Sue Cleaver, Ryan Thomas, Brooke Vincent and Ben Price's charity programme concluded with just 1.53m (7.2%) in the 9pm hour, as well over 5m either switched off or changed channel after the serial's 8.30pm episode. However, bouncing back from Thursday's dip, a Kirsty and Tyrone-themed double bill gave Corrie the edge over EastEnders in the soap ratings, pulling in 7.36m (36.9%) at 7.30pm (+1: 160k/0.7%), and 7m (32.1%) at 8.30pm (+1: 256k/1.2%).
