La Paramount Pictures ha fissato la data di uscita del reboot (ancora senza titolo ufficiale) Jack Ryan. Il film uscirà nei cinema americani nel quarto trimestre del 2013 (ottobre-dicembre, probabilmente a novembre).
La speranza dello studio - intuibile già dagli annunci dei giorni scorsi - è quella di sviluppare un vero e proprio franchise sulla serie di personaggi ideati da Tom Clancy: il film diretto da Kenneth Branagh potrebbe diventare una trilogia con protagonista Chris Pine, al fianco della quale andrebbero a posizionarsi lo spin-off Senza Rimorso con protagonista Tom Hardy nei panni di John Clark e addirittura un ulteriore spin-off con protagonista Kevin Costner (che ha accettato di entrare nel cast di Jack Ryan e Senza Rimorso).
