Last month AMC killed off "The Killing" after two seasons of the American adaptation of the Danish procedural, ones that finally wrapped up the case of the murder of Seattle teenager Rosie Larsen. But Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos) and Stephen Holder (Joel Kinnaman) may be back -- on either Netflix or DirecTV, both having recently become home to other previously canceled series. TVLine reports that both streaming/DVD rental service Netflix and satellite provider DirecTV have approached Fox TV Studios about picking up a third season of the show, one that would presumably kick off a new longform mystery for Linden and Holder to take on. While nothing's decided yet, fans of "The Killing" (and I know you're out there) have reason to hope for a second life for the show.
