Universal Finds a Director for Videodrome Remake

Universal is moving forward with a remake of David Cronenberg’s cult classic Videodrome and is in talks with a director to take on the project. According to Deadline, commercials and music video director Adam Berg is Universal’s choice for the remake. Should he sign on, this will be Adam Berg’s first feature film.

The script was written by Ehren Kruger, who is producing the film with Daniel Bobker. If you’re not familiar with Ehren Kruger, you’re definitely familiar with his work, as he has written for the following films: Scream 3, The Ring, The Ring Two, The Skeleton Key, The Brothers Grimm, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
