Disney is looking to dust off that old jet pack.

New studio chief Alan Horn apparently thinks the sky isn't the limit as he's set his sights on a reboot of the 1991 action adventure, "The Rocketeer," according to Vulture.

"The Rocketeer" follows the adventures of Cliff Secord (Bill Campbell), a racing pilot who discovers a rocket pack hidden by gangsters that stole it from mad inventor Howard Hughes. Soon, Cliff has reinvented himself as the Rocketeer, a high-altitude crimefighter who takes on the dastardly (yet rather suave) Neville Sinclair (a scene-stealing Timothy Dalton) and romances the gorgeous Jenny (an almost painfully hot Jennifer Connelly).

The film, directed by Joe Johnston ("Captain America: The First Avenger"), was based on the comic book character who first appeared the pages of the now-defunct Pacific Comics in 1982. Late artist Dave Stevens conceived the Rocketeer as an homage to the serial action heroes of the '30s. »
