Il regista e produttore, fratello di Ridley Scott, si è suicidato lanciandosi da un ponte, a San Pedro. Aveva 68 anni e di recente, insieme a suo fratello aveva prodotto Prometheus. Un addio improvviso quello di Tony Scott, regista e produttore - che tra le altre cose aveva diretto Top Gun e tante altre pellicole celebri, tra cui Miriam si sveglia a mezzanotte, Giorni di Tuono, Allarme Rosso e The fan - Il mito, per citarne solo alcune. Scott, che tra le altre cose proprio quest'anno aveva prodotto insieme a suo fratello Ridley l'atteso Prometheus, aveva 68 anni e si è tolto la vita lanciandosi dal ponte Vincent Thomas a San Pedro (Los Angeles).
