Tony Scott, l’uomo che ha diretto pellicola che hanno segnato in maniera indelebile l’immaginario cinematografico di tantissimi spettatori (si pensi a Top Gun, Allarme Rosso, Una vita al massimo, Giorni di tuono, Nemico pubblico, Beverly Hills Cop e più recentemente Unstoppable), si è suicidato questa questa tarda mattinata a Los Angeles. Le circostanze sono ancora abbastanza oscure, ma da quel che riportano i quotidiani locali tra cui il The Daily Breeze, Scott avrebbe parcheggiato la sua auto verso le 12.30 nei pressi del Vincent Thomas Bridge per poi buttarsi dal ponte. Il suo corpo è stato rinvenuto verso le 15.00 e la Polizia ha comunicato che al momento non possono confermare in maniera definitiva l’ipotesi del suicidio ma bisognerà aspettare l’autopsia; anche se, sempre da quel che ha riportato la U.S. Coast Guard, un biglietto di addio è stato trovato nell’auto Toyota Prius del regista.
